THE STORY OF W AVIATION
W Aviation FBO at KFXE opened its doors to serve the general aviation community in 2013. Windsor expanded the company with the opening of W Aviation FBO on the northwest corner of the airfield with the purpose to provide premium FBO services to its own charter fleet, based and transient aircraft. Windsor’s existing charter fleet consists of medium, super midsize to heavy jets specifically a mix of Hawker, Citation and Gulfstream models.
With a background in real estate, our owner invested into the existing property with facility, hangar and structural enhancements to better serve the customer base. In 2015, W Aviation opened up it’s second Fixed Based Operation located at Simon Bolivar Airport in Maiquetía, Venezuela and as a result making us the only privately held, international FBO network in South Florida offering medium, super midsize to heavy jet charter services.
Currently, new development is underway at W Aviation KFXE. Phase 1 includes the expansion of the existing campus with the construction of a pair of 20,000 sq. ft. hangars, 5,000 sq. ft. of adjoining office space and 155,000 sq. ft. of additional parking apron. The parking apron is scheduled for completion by October 2016 and the hangars in early 2017. This will nearly double our aircraft parking and storage capacity. Phase 2 of the project consists of a state-of-the-art, two-story, 24,000 sq. ft. executive terminal which the development is scheduled to commence next year.
